On a lighter note after reading Wee siang's post i realise there will be a SGD$20 note circulating in Singapore FROM 16July 2007 onwards.. NO MORE $50 big notes... This SGD$20 note is to celebrate Singapore and Brunei Darussalam 40 Years of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement between the two countries. The leaders of both countries jointly launched $20 polymer commemorative notes.

It consist of two notes - one Singapore $20 (with a special over-print of the two countries’ state crests and text “40th Anniversary Currency Interchangeability Agreement”), and one Brunei $20 (with special over-print of the text “40th Anniversary Currency Interchangeability Agreement”). The two notes, with matching serial numbers, add up to a total face value of “$40”, marking the 40th Anniversary of the Agreement. 10,000 sets will be available at $88 (GST inclusive) per set.
